What is Vesselbay.com?
Vesselbay.com is a dynamic online platform where prospective buyers and listing owners negotiate privately. Once a preliminary price has been agreed, pleasure yachts of all sizes and commercial vessels can be viewed, tested and surveyed prior to any purchase. At Vesselbay.com we connect people together in an efficient and fair process that ensures the best result for both sides of the equation. Because sellers and prospective buyers have already agreed on a preliminary bid, there are no unnecessary viewings or empty purchase price expectations. Moreover, yachts & vessels can be viewed, tested and surveyed at any point in time before a purchase is made. As there is no obligation to purchase, buyers need not worry about hidden repair costs and unforeseen disappointments in the future.
How does it work in 4 steps?
1. Start a private negotiating process with a yacht/ship broker or private owner directly; 2. A private negotiating process kicks off when the listing owner is interested in a prospective buyer’s private offer. The seller may accept this private offer or make a counter-offer; 3. Reach a preliminary price agreement for boats, luxury yachts, superyachts and commercial vessels the world over; 4. Arrange a viewing, sea trial, engine run test or survey up to 60 days before purchase.
No risk, free of charge & free of engagement
✔ Prospective buyers are not obliged to buy. Listing owners are not obliged to sell; ✔ Negotiating privately is 100% free of charge for prospective buyers; ✔ Negotiating privately is 100% free of engagement for prospective buyers and listing owners; ✔ There is no limit to the number of private offers and counter-offers that can be made in your personal Vesselbay.com account.
When and how?
✔ Any invisible bid must be submitted to Vesselbay.com by the Monday of each week and will be submitted directly to the private or professional seller for approval. The seller may accept your invisible bid or make a counter-offer; ✔ Vesselbay.com will allow the listing owner access to the prospective buyer's contact details in order that they can negotiate and finalise a potential deal if they wish; ✔ Once a preliminary price agreement is reached, the listing owner and prospective buyer have 60 days to arrange a viewing, sea trial, engine run test or survey. So start a private negotiating process with a private owner and buy if you wish within 60 days without any risk.
What sets Vesselbay.com apart?
What sets Vesselbay.com apart is the way it allows buyers and yacht & ship brokers to negotiate a price for their listing in private. A negotiating process only starts when a listing owner expresses an interest in any prospective buyer’s offer. If the seller is interested in an offer, Vesselbay.com will provide contact details. After the private negotiation is concluded, a preliminary price agreement can be made. The listing owner and prospective buyer then have 60 days to arrange a viewing, sea trial, engine run test or survey. Private offers are not binding. If both parties are happy, the deal is sealed. The only costs for the seller are a 1% commission to Vesselbay.com.
For potential buyers...
By representing a diverse range of international brokers, Vesselbay.com gives you a unique, platform to see which yachts/vessels are available. Once you find one you like you can place a private bid. A private negotiating process kicks off when the listing owner expresses an interest in your private offer. At this point we will put you in direct contact with the broker or owner of that vessel, while your name and the bid amount remain invisible to other buyers and brokers.

Listing on Vesselbay.com? Sellers in full control
A Vesselbay.com listing shows the negotiable price. Potential buyers who have registered through the website may discretely make a private bid for the vessel through the website. In other words, the bid of the prospective buyer is not visible on the website. This invisible bid is also free of engagement. Any bid made through the website is communicated to a private seller or broker immediately. After a bid has been made, it is up to the broker or private owner to initiate private negotiations with the bidder. The owner is not obliged to sell the vessel to a private bidder.
